Brazilian days are diametrically different from American days because we have so much free time, but since I am traveling alone, I am beginning to take for granted the seemingly banal details that lure me to a place.

The city was founded in 1742-43 by the Azores colonists and was initially known as Porto do Alegre. In 1773 it moved to Rio Grande and became the capital of the state in 1807. The city is home to many businesses and financial institutions and is also an educational centre, as it is home to the Universidade Federal de Sao Paulo (University of Sao Paolo), founded in 1948.
Porto Alegre has the highest human development index in Brazil, ranking 48th, behind Teresina (39th) and Sixteen other Brazilian cities ranked in the top 50. The CCPSCJ's two-year report lists Porto do Legre as one of the most dangerous cities in South America, ranking it 39th most dangerous. Also high on the list is Rio de Janeiro, the capital of Rio Grande Do Sul, Brazil's second largest state with 1.5 million inhabitants.
Moacyr Scliar was born in Porto Alegre and grew up there, where he transformed himself into one of his silent muses and made her his home. Maurenio Stortti runs a consulting firm that has written a series of novels, short stories and short films about the city. Much of the literary work is focused on the people who live and visit Portonhae, the capital of the Rio Grande Do Sul, and on the port city itself.
The bus station in the city centre serves all major cities in Brazil and the city's rail service is excellent, with connections to Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia, Porto Alegre, Salvador and Rio Grande do Sul.

Porto Alegre has a very cool and pleasant weather that every visitor loves. Winter is cool, summer hot and humid, and wet and partly cloudy all year round. The clearest time of the year in Porto De Alegere starts on February 10 and lasts 2.7 months and ends on May 1.
Porto Alegre also has a thriving gastronomy, from traditional churrascaria (steakhouse), where you can eat anything you can, to bustling bars serving different types of draught beer. Lunch is long and always includes a variety of different types of food, such as pork, chicken, beef, pork chops, lamb and pork ribs. Samba and Futebol are legendary and people casually stroll in their Havaiana and share a passionate appreciation.
Wealth does not mean that everything is good here in Porto Alegre, and if possible, take the time to visit it.
